Need to buy a socket to remove my (deer bashed) door. What torx socket would that be? Dave

 

T40, same size as your thermostat housing bolts.

 

If you plan on doing ANY work on your car past changing the oil, you'd be better off just buying a set.

 

Well I've got a set of the handled torx drivers, and they come in handy for most stuff up to about 27. When I stopped by NAPA, the torx socket that looked close I think said 4.8 or something. That didnt seem right. Guess now I'll ask specifically about T40.

The lower torx pin on my door looks to be bent and I'm expecting difficulty removing it. Definately a PB soaker. Will that door come off by unbolting the 4 hex bolts that hold the hinge to the front of the door and leaving those pins alone? Dave
