trans dipstick
Okay, I have a feeling that this question will tempt some of you to send some witty replies, but here goes.
My daughter has a 94 850 turbo automatic. While checking the trans fluid she stepped on the dipstick, she put what was left of the stick
back into the trans and threw out the pieces. She dropped it off with me today for a brake job. I started checking fluid levels and discovered
the shortened dipstick.
So, I have to ask : how long is your dipstick? The trans dipstick!! So I can get an idea of the fluid level.

Hello Tcoggs,
Okay, since I no longer have the 850, I can only suggest that you get another one at a junkyard (dealer probably wants $20 for that piece of plastic[8D]). And I wouldn't use anything but the original dipstick for accurate measurement.

I hope this helps.

38.5 cms from the base to the o-ring close to the handle. There is an extra 1.5 cms from the oring to the handle. When you insert the dipstick completely it will go in the full 40 cms.
I hope that helps.
