Default Volvo 850 SC-801 Stereo

Hi,

I am just after some help with the stereo in my 850, I want to connect an after market amp to it to power a subwoofer but on the back on the unit all I see is a DIN plug with AMP written under it.

I have searched and found a DIN connector for it and 2 female RCA plugs, I want to connect them together but I need to know which pins are what on the DIN plug.

I have been searching for a wire diagram but can not find one, I would really appreciate it if someone could show me where to find one or tell me what the points are.

Thanks

Dont even bother, get an amp that has High Level inputs. Tap onto your rear speaker outputs. Done.

I hate high level input, sounds crap. If no one knows I will just test each one and find out myself, just thought someone would know....

Sounds crappy for higher frequencies, agreed. Bass is a different matter and not subject to the same sound laws. Why would you be worried about the sound of high level inputs if you are running the stock stereo? Your sound will only be as good as that stereo, no better.

There are very few prongs on the Amp output and should be easy to locate, especially if you open the radio. If you have any trouble let me know and I will look at mine. I have a couple lying around.

I found what I was after from another forum so all is good.

The stock sound system is fine, and the line output will send quality sound to my own amp which will determine the quality of the bass.

Thanks anyway.
