Water inside cabin
After the tremendous amount of rain that the east coast received last week, I seem to have experienced a leak inside my cabin. There is water under the carpet in the passenger side footwell. My 850 was not driven at all last week and never went through any kind of water puddles so Im guessing the water came in through a clogged drain somewhere in the car. Anyone know which drain and area could be the culprit? Thanks
Thanks again rspi, I will clear it out as soon as I can get my hood to open.. I recently replaced the cabin air filter too so I may have not placed the cowl back in securely.

Also check the drain lines from the cowl to make sure they aren't clogged up. They narrow to a tiny slot at the base of the cowl which helps them not get acorns stuck in them (like the trunk drain lines) but it does create a place where other tree crap can clog them up.

Turned out to be the rubber lining that runs across the roof of the car parallel to the door seals. One part of it had been pushed into the crack and water was getting in and running down the door seal into the cabin somehow.. Taped it up and no more leak
Bought this '04 last week, come from the southern US, water from rain in the foot area of back passenger drivers side. Where would the drain be for this area?
