Hey guys, another newbie question of sorts. Still getting used to my 850 haha! Saw some smoke coming out from under my car, and at a second glance I saw a hose hanging (that was not hanging when I inspected the car at purchase) and I pulled the hose back up through the engine, and it looked brand new. When the car is running, it is spewing out smoky looking contents, but it isn't smoke. The end that is connected is connected to the engine head. Here are some pics:

 

Well, that should not be there. Someone added that for some reason. Being that it appears to be going down to the PCV box I am going to take a guess. My guess is that someone tried to bypass the system and dump the case pressure away from the intake. This is a shot in the dark.

 

If that is the case, why would they have done that? Do you think it would hurt to pull it out?

 

I think you need to figure out exactly where it starts on the engine to determine what to do with it.
