1999 C70 Cutting Out
Recently my C70 has started cutting out at low to mid throttle, most of the time it happens from a cold start.
It acts like the fuel is being cut off and on, the tach drops immediately then picks back up.
If I floor it it goes fine, but as soon as I return to normal throttle it starts cutting out again.
It seems to clear up when I stop and shut off the car, loosen the gas cap " and leave it lose " start it up and go.
I change the fuel filter regularly, could this be the fuel pump relay or throttle body?
The ETS light stays on since the recall fix.
Any help before I put a bullet in this car would be helpful.
- Update -
I pulled off the throttle body to clean it " fairly dirty ", can anyone also tell me if the throttle position sensor is located at the gas pedal?, it's not on the throttle body " or doesn't look like the ones they sell for it on IPD or FCP Groton, or AutoZone.
I purchased a new one about a year ago after reading that the factory OEM ones were cheaply made and prone to fail.
I put a new fuel filter on about three months ago, gonna remove it and blow it out.
Volvo mechanic just told me it's probably a failing ETM, cover for 10 years or 200,000 miles, well, guess I'm gonna be out of pocket.

Going to replace Throttle Body
I'm going to purchase a throttle body from http://www.xemodex.com
I have read allot about this company and the results of buyers, and since the Volvo dealer wants around a grand just for the part, I will place the order tomorrow " 7/7/2010 ".
I will report the results.

New Xemodex Installed.
I put the new TB on this morning, gave it a little over a 100 mile test drive, runs great.
New one arrived quickly and so far I am very pleased with Chris @ Xemodex and their product.
I drive on average between 1600 to 2200 miles a month so if there are any updates.
