Hi I just joined - first volvo and might just be hooked

Car making a weird humming noise at idle for a day or two (not on initial start but rather only after engine gets hot on freeway)... no change in performance or gas mileage... then it threw the above mentioned code ( also 2 others: specific fuel lean & random misfire) which I have just reset and the car still runs fine...


From what I read on OBD official website it looks like mass airflow could be the cause???

Just curious to ask if any of you all have had this similar situation and if so was it the MAF? And if so how was the repair - just plastic stuff electrical connectors etc easy 15 minuter or not so much?

P2187 System lean idle bank 1.
Clean MAF, throttle body, check boot connector from PCV metal pipe to engine. Spray throttle body cleaner around intake manifold with engine running, detect vacuum leak.

seems like MAF is in common and it's only a $100 something part... yeah weekend fun... I'll try to post an update
