With side windows up, when I open driver or passenger door, the glass moves down automatically about 1/3". I've seen this in other cars too, supposedly to clear the glass from the rubber seal above it and later after closing door move it up 1/3" to push it back inside the groove.
When I close the door the glass moves upward 1/3" and no gap left.
The problem is the 1/3" up move of glass is intermittent, most times glass of one door does not move up 1/3" and the gap allows rain get in. To correct it I open the door
insert ignition key,press the up button to make the glass moves up all the way then close the door again.
I wonder if there is any reset or adjustment procedure for this automatic 1/3" up/down motion of side windows glasses?
The owners manual does not mention these movements,
