2008 Rear Shock replacement
I looked into the wheel well and I see the three bolts holding the shock mount to the car - very good, no need to remove the rear seat on the '08 which is great news.
A couple more questions - this will remove both the shock and the coil spring - right? Will the shock then come out from the spring or will I need a spring compressor tool similar to what's used on a strut? Should I consider replacing the springs too (80k miles) and if so, do they come as an assembled unit?
Other than that, it looks very straight forward.

Yes, very easy and quick to do - had to use an impact wrench on the lower bolt (no room for breaker bar). Could have used a 13mm offset box wrench on the shock bolt to swap the mount but was easier just to take it to the repair shop. Whole thing took maybe 45 minutes start to finish.
