Default brake question

Brake time coming up. 2004 c70 w/17" wheels.

How do I determine disc size for front and rear?

Has anyone used the front/rear full brembo kits with S/S brake lines?

You will have to measure them and see, but they should be 280mm(11inch) or 302mm(11 7/8inch) in the front and Rear is (11 5/8inch).

I love the SS lines from IPD. Have them on my 745t andthey work really well.

Ok, next question.

The dealer says no re-surfacing on the rotors, is there a chance that I can replace pads only @ 55000 miles or should I just go ahead and change out the whole kit and kaboodle?

Volvo doesn't cut (resurface) the rotors. You can just put pads on if the rotors are still thick enough.

Looking through the front wheels I can see the wear lines formed on the front rotors, they arent gouged but they are worn, I imagine that they will measure out but would like to go with ceramic pads and a good clean surface.... or am I being overly picky?

You can replace the rotors is you want. If they are worn pretty good and you are going Ceramic pads then maybe new rotors.

+1

Depending on which ceramic pads you get, they will eat up the rotor faster than a regular pad
Do it all at once and be done with it.

It is interesting to note that BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, and Volvo are now 'demanding' that the rotors be changed out on EVERY brake job. They no longer resurface. It has something to do with liability............ie: machine too much off and the rotor cracks.............fails...........auto slams into a fixed object.........litigation.
