Which C70 do I own?
Hello fellas, I am new to this forums.
I own a 99' C70 hardtop but it doesn't even have sunroof, so I wonder is my car a 2.3L or 2.4L. engine. And what is the difference between the two.
Thanks in advance.

LPT....B5254T (190hp) 2.4L

so, it's safe to say that if you hot-rod both with the same mods and boost pressure, the LPT C70 would beat the HPT. or am i crazy???

Where exactly is that located at? I don't know what a firewall is.
About VIN #, advice taken, ty.
EDit- Btw, I don't want to flood the forum nor make myself annoying. I received a letter from Volvo about three weeks ago that I should take my car in to a local Volvo dealership because some volvo makes that included a few 1999 makes had some kind of issue with some electric throttle something and that they at no charge would upgrade the software. What is this concern they mention about?

Read your VIN#, use the breakdown:
http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/vin_70.shtml
You will only have two engine code choices for the US market.

i know some turbo eclipses that have forged internals, but retained the factory compression ratios that produce over 400hp with only 9-10psi of boost. the only problem with high compression and boost is the higher the compression and the boost, the smaller the tuning window you have and the less room you have to make a mistake before your engine craps it's guts on the street.

yeah i understand that, but if you boost both engines to lets say....15psi with all the appropriate mods to support that, the higher compression engine in theory should produce more power cause the compression ratio is higher.

RSI might have a stroker kit now for the whiteblocks.....if you want to spend some money .
