Can anyone help. My 2007 C-70 with 84000 miles has a problem with both doors. While driving at speed the doors will suddenly pop open . The safety catches prevent the doors from flying open but they scare the crap out of you. Today on a 60 mile trip the drivers door opend twice and passanger once. I contacted Volvo North America and am waiting for a reply. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

 

I would replace the drivers side door lock unlock switch. Check for shorted wire on all doors. Disconnect the switch use key to lock unlock doors if required. Drive on ruff road see if doors pop open. Might try each door switch might find which might be bad. Maybe simply opening/closing doors will provide vibration enough to check for bad switch or short. Use a meter to check switches are working correctly open/closing contacts. JMHO

 

I'm no expert,but the latches must be bad. Even if the doors are unlocked,they don't pop open. This is a safety issue. Vibration must be loosening the latches.
