i'm just noticing that alot of questions were asked that i didn't answer *sorry*

the handling is improved somewhat, but the car is a soft car, meaning thatto me the suspension (springs, struts, swaybars) are all too soft for my taste. i will improve these things in the future.

i'm not sure what i will do with my factory castinos <--spell check-- i have been offered $400 for them since the rubber is almost brand new. or if a really nice bartering trade come around i will trade them for some services.

my C70 is an automatic

S70, i like the porsche BBK, buti don't have the power or speed for that upgrade yet, so that will take some time. stay tuned for some more mods to come.

 

It still looks really cool and sporty. nice rims. they remind me of some audi rims.

what goes into this center socket? i noticed that this socket on omy OEM headlights is empty as well


these 2 plugs and wires come from each headlight, does the top plug go to the center socket on the headlight?

That might be the upgraded harness that Volvo installed to help make the bulbs last longer.

How much were the new lights?

You can buy those headlights from EuroSportTuning (EST), PartsForVolvosOnline, DTMwerks, RealCar, EBAY. They range in price too. $350ish to $600ish. And everyone is selling the exact same things too.

Your wiring harness goes there. However you have a third light on the ABM Projectors. It is under the other two. And what you do is remove the current harness and use the one behind it. The harness your using now is basically like an adapter piece. There is a four prong and a three prong.

 

i bought these from auto lamps pluson ebay for $448 shipped and they came with the corner lenses as well. these are very nice lights and are OEM quality which is impressive for an aftermarket part. the lenses are real glass too!

so, S70 i just need to unplug the factory harness (which is trash anyway) and plug one end to the harness plug and the other end to the lights? i did notice a small, 2 wire harness that looks like it holds a 194 style bulb, that will go in the bottom of these new lights correct?

i hope nobody thinks about stealing this upgrade

 

Yeah a 194 style bulb goes in the bottom section.

You make that light up... You have to put the bulb in which is a bitch and also plug in the harness. I forget if it is the one with the adapter or the one without the adapter piece. Try it and find out.

the glass lense can come off right? cause i would love to have some angle eyes in there like the BMWs

They come off yes. But I don't know how Angel Eyes would look or fit with the projectors. You can get Angel Eyes for your Volvo from SharpHID. I also suggest you get your HID's from them too.

 

I asked becaise earlier you said you were thinking about making a set from the Bus projectors and I wasn't sure if you had made them.

 

nah not yet Tech. i'm gonna make those lights using the stock headlights for practice and if they come out right, i'll look for the clear lense, so you can see the projectors.

i still have those 2 plugs without a place to go. i have no clue either. the 194 bulb and socket was a breeze with the right tools, but they don't light up. i'm sure those spare plugs have something to do with it.

overall, i'm very happy with these lights. the quality is awsome. i'll take pics soon.

 

If we both had more time in a day we could easily meet up and get it all figured out.

Hopefully one day soon I can buy a set of Headlights for mine.
I had found a set similiar to yours but not projector online for $169.00 with side markers.
Didn't have the $$$ and now they are gone.
Oh well maybe nextime.

 

today, my IPD black sport grill came in and WOW! what a big difference it made to the front of my car.the black projector lights and this black grill gives it a sinister look. i'm debating if i want to add the volvo emblem and slash to this grill, but i would have to get some black chrome spray from duplicolor first.
