The dash was still beige till I pulled it yesterday and took it apart with him so he could paint it and we could put the fabric on before putting it back together.

for the harder plastics use the krylon fusion paint.
both paints bond chemically to their respective materials very well.

looks like a bomb just went off in there

ah thats much better

i didmy best to get around the button areas. i'll be working on the center console maybe this weekend. i hope i can find some nice carbon fiber trim in either red/black or regular carbon color to replace the woodgrain which is totally out of place now.

Anything is possible. Personally I don't think it was a bright idea, plus it looks nasty.

Can that do any damage as far as water seeping into the holes?

i took the volvo emblem from the rear of the car and place it where the original plastic on was on the sparkplug cover.

well S70, i just wanna say that it definatley looks better than the pics show. i noticed that the volvo emblem looks crooked in the pic, but it is straight in person. i will be rounding off the corners, were the rivets are, with my dremel tool to smooth the look of it. tommorrow i will be painting the valve cover red so look for pics for that. this mod only cost me $7.50 and my time. i bet the coils will stay nice and cool. as for the water, i don't think water will effect anything unless i wash the engine and spray it in there.
i'm gonna paint the valve cover first and see how the preforated aluminum looks on it. and if anything i think i will paint the aluminum like a graphite which will be a little darker than silver.
just installed the center console minus the arm rest cause i will get that wraped in black leather, suede or micro fiber with red stitchings. i will also be sewing black leather on the steering wheel once i find the red thread i want. i did paint my valve cover on sunday, i'll take pics when i paint thehead of the bolts black.
I still don't like the cover. Still looks cheesey to me. Even rounding the edges wouldn't do it for me.
1. CF cover cool.
2. Anodized Aluminum cover, still cool.
3. I would even go as far as just painting it another color, with the right paint and prep work would look better.
Sorry just not a fan of hacking up engine parts like that.
