MY C70 UPGRADES

Nice Upgrades-
I just did a H7 8000K Hid conversion in about 45 minutes and the light output is really good. The look is even better. I am doing a H1 6000K fog light conversion next week. Go with Japan made conversions and not China. Go with true plug-n-play on the install. You will need to cut a circular hole on the back of your headlight cover for the install.
As far as the wheels I would have stayed with the Polished look. I am not a fan of the Gold wheels but to each his own.

2. Why are you going with 6,000k in the fogs? Your going to blind the hell out of people. 3,000K in the fogs max.
Buy your kit from SharpHID.

1. Why did you go with 8,000K HID's? You know you get the most light output or LUMENS from 4,500K-5,000k. After that the light output goes down and the only thing you do get is a color change.

And 6000k in the fogs are probably for aesthetic purpose. It's not going to blind anyone since they shine the ground.... The real downside is the effectiveness of the foglight will be diminished...

Your not seeing the point. So I am not going to repeat it.
sorry for being gone so long. i had major malfunctions with my computer, but they are ironed out now.
i just made some motor mounts this past weekend and i have a how-to, but i didn't take any pics
i can still tell you how to make them and it will cost you mostly your time and effort.

well gents, i have started my next project on the interior of my volvo. you may ask why i started such a major interior project and like most of my projects they come from being frustrated.
it all started when my headliner started coming apart and the foam was flying around as i drove with my windows down or my sunroof open. the foam would fly in your eyes while i was driving and not only hurt really bad, but impair vision. i tried to just shoot glue into the headliner and it would hold for a lil while and then fall down again and thats when i said enough was enough!
i took the headliner down, removed the falling cloth, srubbed all the old foam off and headed to the fabric store.
this is what the interior currently looks like

and heresthe lookim goingfor

this is red fleece. yeah i know, but it's so soft and it's way lighter than any normal headliner. next is my secondary color for all the plastics / vinyl is satin black.

so, far every part has been perfectly painted cause i took everything apart as far as it could go, even the clothes hangers and rear dome lights using krylon's fusion paint for plastics. the paint chemically bonds to the plastics, hard vinyl, PVC and other stuff.

even though the paint says that you don't have to prep the plastic, i cleaned everything with alcohol and a micro-fiber cloth. i will be needing a new driver's side visor since i cut the vinyl off to wrap it with some red fleece and didn't like how it looked, so i painted the passenger one black and it looked way better.

more pics will come hopefully once i'm done and i get my digi-cam back for better pics. these were taken on my cell phone.

no, my fleece doesn't have any foam backing, but the headliner material they have does come with the foam backing. the headliner stuff is so heavy, so i didn't want to use it and it didn't come in bright red.
Ok I will still have to check them out. Mine is sitting in the Garage waiting on new material. I want to find a Gray that will match everything else.
Volvo and their bright idea's with Tan headliner in all cars no matter what color the interior is!!!!
BTW I agree about something said in last phone conversation inside of car looks major ugly with the headliner missing!!!!

they do have a gray headliner material and it's like a lil over $7 a yard, so i would get like 2 yards and you'll be good. but if your gonna do your sun shade i'd get 3 yds. i have been driving around with my windows down and no interior just about and i know people are like WTF??? it's so nice outside but the inside looks like peanuts
I know I was going to take pics but it got dark before the wife got home. The boys would have killed them selves if I went outside for 5 minutes to take the pics.
Ladys and Gentleman my newest upgrade which I LOVE!!!!!
