Default Wheels and Tire Sizes that fit Volvo C70?

Hello, I've got a 2007 Volvo C70 and I'd like to put custom wheels and tires on it.
I'd also go for spacers if that turns out to be a solution. I just prefer the wheels to be flush with the edge of the wheel well because it gives the car that beefier stance.
I'm not too knowledgeable on wheel offset, etc, and how to determine what rims will fit on what car, so I'm wondering if anyone has any info.
Can I put 20" rims on my car without having any issues? Can I buy rims with an offset that will put the wheels flush with the wheel well, and if so, what is that offset?
Are spacers an option? Instead of buying custom wheels I may just buy spacers if anyone has any info or advice on these.

If anyone has any info or advice, or exact sizes of spacers or wheels that will work on my car, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks!

The issue with the 20 inch rim will be in finding tires with a similar circumference. Assuming your car came with the factory 235/45-17s, the equivalent tire sizes are 235/40-18, 235/35/19 and the closest 20 inch is a 245/30-20 (about a 2% circumference difference). Next is the offset. this measures the center of the rim versus the hub. Most cars have negative offset (hub centerline is closer to the outside edge) so the lower the offset, the closer to the wheel arch. But before you go and replace your rims (which are probably ET40 or so) with some ET20s, also keep in mind that if your current rims are say 7.5 inch rims and the replacements are 8.5, you are already moving .5 inch ( or 12 mm - and your offset is in mm). Since that .5 inch difference also is on the inside, the wider the rim, the smaller the recommended offset. I'd start by measuring the amount of space you want to eliminate then shop for wheel options. If you decide to try spacers, keep in mind Volvo rims are hub centric, meaning they use the hub center not the lugs to align the rim to the hub. If you decide to go with after market rims, make sure they support the Volvo center hub diameter or come with centering rings.
