Window regulator

My window fell "off the rails" a few months back. After I seemingly put it back in place, it still wouldn't roll up or down. I took it to Tire Kingdom and they said I needed the wires cut, so they cut the wires.
I'm not sure how to diagnose whether or not the motors are good, but my glass is intact. However, those wires are cut.
Anyways, could you help me diagnose my problem? I'd rather not replace the entire assembly. I'd prefer to purchase only the parts I need and repair it myself.
That being said, I will gladly purchase your regulator if entirely necessary.

If you have cut the cables on the window you may have done to much, you can probably find a new cable system online but the cables have to be timed so that it will lift the window to the correct height there are some videos on YouTube about this, just make sure your motor is good before you buy the cable system. Hope this helps you.
