Default C40 full electric. Key fob, seats, charge timer

Hi,
The C40 is overall great, well built and fun to drive but the software issues are very annoying . Volvo customer care
(who have no technical support )refer you to the dealer and to the manual.. I've been to 2 and they simply don't know. and the manual is not model specific or helpful in some areas. (The nearest dealer is 3 hours away)

Over the air software changes are poorly documented so I don't know what to expect or if they are correct.
Any other C40 owners? Is XC40 full electric similar? Anyone with different then below?

Charging . Usually set to 90% I'll set it to 100% before a long trip . Upon return, I set it to 90% but it charges to 100% on the next charge, then returns to 90%

Key fob. They say it should change to your profile, and move the seat. (short wife) Sometimes that works and sometimes it works if you lock the door , then unlock it.
The seat does not move back like non electric cars as there is no
'Off" so with the seat forward, it is awkward. Solution would be to have the seat go back when the "P" is pressed and the door opened. On return, the seat could move to the profile position once the driver occupies the seat.

I've had the profile change to my wifes when she entered the car as a passenger (Drivers seat doesn't move but I'm driving)

Adaptive cruise and Steering assist (Electric only) Originally the Steering assist could be turned off on the wheel. The adaptive cruise still is functional. An over the air update removed that ,and the only way to turn off the steering assist is on the center consul. It is nice to turn it off through some curves, and small towns.

Latest update changed the rear view to the back camera only instead of the 360. It can be changed to 360 each time with a couple of buttons on the centre consul. It wouldn't be so annoying if the rear camera view wasn't so restricted. It would be good if the 360 image used the top half of the screen that is now not used with the rear only view. I think the camera position is terrible This may only be a C40 issue.

Thanks,
Ross

Default Volvo provide support ?

I haven't had any of the issues you've had Ross, I'm in the UK.
However I have every sympathy with the dealers who are it seems to me kept literally in the dark by Volvo
My only issue, or so I thought, was my central map display was corrupted, up to that point all was fine
So to fix the issue the dealer upgraded to V2.0 GREAT the map works....... THEN I discovered I couldn't play music files on the USB port, up to that point it had been working perfectly using Audiowagon, formatted FAT32 NO ISSUES
I went to the dealer who reinstalled the software again, still didn't work, so I had to book it in, 3 weeks later they tell me after speaking to Volvo support ON VERSION 2.0 VOLVO REMOVED THE FACILITY to play music from the USB port, NO EXPLANATION WHY
I WAS PISSED BIG TIME, some months later an OTA upgrade allowed me to use Carplay BUT ONLY IF YOU PLUG A CABLE IN !!.... a joke surely ? so we put up with this until now we can play music via the USB... ONLY
Every time you switch the car on., no matter what kind of stick and I've tried at least 7 different makes, it comes up with the message USB Device Error, Device not supported you click 'dismiss' it then asks you if you want to access it, you say yes and low and behold it works perfectly
Except as I said earlier it always comes up with the message when you switch on the car Device error and you have to click through the popup EVERY TIME to get the damn thing to work, it's a ROYAL PAIN IN THE *** and it doesn't go to where you left it, it defaults every time !!
Speaking to the dealer is a total waste of time as Volvo tell them nothing other than THAT'S THE WAY IT IS, it MIGHT be resolved in an update but don't hold your breath !
I love the car to drive but this issue is VERY frustrating

Picked up our C40 yesterday. Had the TCAM issue where no LTE connectivity means no maps, no range, no road signs, no positioning etc etc etc. Saved up for 5 years to spend $86k CAD on a car that isn’t working right at all. I drove 7.5 hours home (with charge stops) now I’m worried I’ll need to take another whole day to drive all the way back to the dealer.

camera position is weird in rear, I only use the 360 camera now. The 2023 model has one button for driver assist and cruise all in one feature. I don’t mind it. I let the car drive about 3 hours on the highway. Very impressed to be honest.
