Hello, new member here, from New Zealand.

I have just purchased a 2000 S40 T4 and am very new to Volvos. So there is a learning process and some fun and confusion.

Right now I am deeply puzzled. There is a small ball/**** protruding from a corner of the passenger dashboard speaker grill. The ball has a small point on it as if it should be moved by a finger. However it doesn't really move, just slightly depresses.

Nothing happens that I can detect.

Google has regarded my tentative questions as a need for Ebay and has been of no help. Anybody?

It might help if I post a pic of what I'm asking about. I found a speaker grill on Ebay which is for the right side passenger but being in NZ the passenger sits on the left. So same grill but rotated.

In the pic there is a hole which in my car has the ball/**** in it.
