Default 2002 Volvo s40 power antena mast.

I want to replace the AM/FM radio antenna mast on my 2002 Volvo s40. The originsl equipment is quite expeensive. There is one advertised on Amazon.com that seems okay.

It is shown here:

Power ANTENNA Mast - 2000 thru 2004 Volvo S40 : Amazon.com : Automotive Power ANTENNA Mast - 2000 thru 2004 Volvo S40 : Amazon.com : Automotive

is this mast any good? Is it easy to replace and does it look good?

My antenna is a power antenna that extends only when I turn on the radio. I turn off the radio and it goes back into its hole.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah they are really easy to replace. First off you have to get all of the old one, of course. Then you remove the nut at the bottom that is on the body. You might want to get someone to help you for this next part. With the nut removed have someone turn on/ off the radio while you fish the mast though the hole. Its going to take some time but when its all the way down you put the but back and you are done

I usually get the $15 mast from Volvo Parts, Accessories and Performance Specialist Since 1963 or FCP Euro. I like to support companies that specialize in our cars.
