I got my rear brakes done about 2000 miles ago and shortly after I started hearing a little rattling noise coming from my rear end. At 1st I thought that I didn't tighten my jack down properly. But the noise has gotten louder. I've now isolated the rattle to the drivers side rear wheel (although I haven't taken the wheel off to look at it yet.) It rattles when I go over bumpy road. It will rattle when I turn left (when the drivers side rear shock is not compressed) but not when I turn right (when the drivers side rear shock is compressed) Does anyone have any advice?

 

See if there is a plastic cover on the shock that is rattling around. . . I can't think of much else.
