2005 S40 Brake Pad Change Help
I removed the 2 locating pins on the caliper, but can seem to separate the caliper from the bracket. Not sure if I just need to pull harder, or I need to remove something else.
I have a feeling that the part highlighted in red in the link is the spring holding it together. I tried to remove it, but I feel I might bend it out of shape if I apply any more force.
Any ideas?

RE: 2005 S40 Brake Pad Change Help
Just updating in case anybody comes across the same problem...
The part marked in red in the linked image needs to come off. As stated, just use a flat head screwdriver and pop it off. You may also need to pull on the caliper to press in the piston in order to clear the caliper bracket. Once it's off, you'll need at least a 4" C-clamp to press in the piston all the way (removing the cap on the resevoir will help).
I had some difficulty sliding the caliper back on with Hawk HPS brake pads due to the lip of the rotor. I just dremeled the lip off.
