Default 2005 S40 Dead Radio Module

Well just got off the phone with my dealer, $1300.00 to have my radio work again. The car is just out of warranty, and needless to say I'm not happy.
Has anyone come up with a way to install an after market unit in one of these cars utilizing the existing speakers?
Thanks,
Rob

Why not trying to find a similar one in e-bay or find a totaled car ?

Default I had same problem

Wondered if you ever got this resolved. I have a 2005 S40 T5, same issue - radio stopped, and 6 CD changer has CDs stuck. Volvo says $500 for a new one. I'd like to put an aftermarket one in or Sirius.

I found this company out in L.A. a few months back when my warranry ran out on my 05 s40. I needed a body control module and a pasenger front bearing assy. The pricing was very very reasonable and I had the parts in about 4 days, which is not bad from L.A. to Cape Cod. the name is volvo and saab auto here is the web site.

www.vandsautodismantlers.com

They have a form you can fill out (or you can call) and tell them what you need. I hope this helps you all out with your radio problems.

Good Luck
Nigel
