I have a 2007 S40 and it was on the short side of having an AUX input as they were introduced in '07. My system is a single disc player, no AUX, no Auto climate control. I have found a new system from an '07 that actually has what mine doesn't. It's a single disc, with AUX and Auto climate control.

If I swap systems will it work in my car? If not, are there any mods?

 

Actually my S40 is a 2007. From my understanding, the AUX input was an option in 2007 and was not standard. My S40 did not include the AUX option and I have located a complete audio system from a 2007 S40 that has the AUX option, includes the dash control panel, single disc CD player, and the dash monitor. The difference with this upgraded 2007 systems is that it has the AUX and it also has the automatic climate control feature on the control panel.

I love to find a knowledgeable response as to weather or not the upgraded 2007 system with the AUX input could be exchanged for mine with lessor features.
