If anybody has 5 minutes, could you please circle about where the damn blower resistor is, please. or even a link or write-up that's on an existing forum..
I'm about to lose it.

I think it's inside the blower motor. Pretty sure the older S40s had an external resistor, but the newer ones have in integrated controller that handles that "resistor duty" (via a little more elegant solid-state solution).

Never done one - the Video above looks promising - Here's info from Volvo - 4/31 is the fan control, 6/28 is the fan. Volvo shows 4/31 as being built into the CCM, Symptoms of a bad CCM courtesy of xemodex. Here's a link to their repair service if the above video does not help.

https://xemodex.com/us/product/clima...epair-service/
  • Left or Right heating zone stuck in full hot or full cold
  • Damper motor codes
  • Blower fan not working
  • LIN bus codes
  • No response to temperature change requests
  • No communication
  • Unit not working at all
  • Volume or other radio buttons not working

Thanks for the help fellas.
The video is probably going to be the path I need to take.
until then, I need to figure out how to get that sucker out of there, it's pretty whack where they have this blower motor placed.also, when when I turn the fan **** up (on) The ac clutch does kick on, everything is responsive, it's only the blower that does absolutely nothing.this car has been sitting for about a year or so and I would charge the battery up every month or so to get it started and whatnot and about a month ago I turned on the AC and nothing blew out. it worked every other time.

Before you take it apart - you need to scan the car with an appropriate scan tool. You can activate the fan and check switch positions to make sure what the problem is BEFORE you take the fan out and that's not the problem. Xemodex suggests "Blower fan not working" can be caused by a bad fan control module (which is not inside the fan motor cover) - so connecting the car to VIDA or a compatible scan tool would be my first step.

From the photo the OP included with the first post, I think "before you take it apart" might be a good - but outdated warning. ;-)

lol. thankfully getting the glove box out wasn't bad, I was about to start going to town on where I think the blower motor is.
I'll be doing some searches on where I can find Scanners/VIDA and I'll follow up with findings/results.
thank for the help.
