My 2006 S40 2.4engine started to show me a constant light of check engine, but there is no massages at all I am concern of this, does anybody have an answer for this, I will appreciated thank you, and have a good one.

 

You need to get the codes read.

 

Try Autozone or one of the big name autoparts stores. they often read codes for people for free or can sell you a budget OBD2 reader. You'll get a list of codes ie P0xxx - post them back on this board and people can suggest probable causes. Also note any other symptoms - cold/warm start? rough idle? mileage on the car and mileage since last tune up?

 

I'm betting the car is not in the US? Where are you located?

Do you have somewhere to take the car to get the OBD2 codes read? If the Check Engine light is on then you have a trouble code stored.
