My car ( S40 - 2001 - 33K KM ) has a problem. Cruise control turns "on" but pressing the button on the lever does not engage it..

Reading this forum and other boars there are suggestion to check the cruise control hoses but none of the posts have any guidance of where these hoses are located.. any kind soul has any direction of what these hoses connectors are ? If someone has pictures I would be more than happy !

wouldn't the cruise control be electronic on a 2001?

 

The 01 S40 still has a throttle cable.

Hum... Took the car to be scanned and the scanner came with the following error:
P0568 Cruise Control Set Signal Malfunction

What could it be ? Problem with the button in the lever ? Any place where i can buy a lever from a Wrecked car to test ?

 

I would say maybe the lever.
