Default electronic brake force distribution light on?

Hi I'm a new forum member, I recently changed the brakes on my wifes 01 s40. I pressed the front caliper cylinders in with channel lock pliers and rotated the rear cylinders in with special tool. I changed the rotors and pads, everything went fine. Now when I drive I have the red light with exclamation mark in it on the dash all the time. The light is on constantly. Just today I flushed the brake fluid by bleeding the system , no problems. However the light is still on, brakes work flawlessly each wheel has no drag and each wheel caliper works and releases. The brake fluid is at the max line on the reservoir. The light wasn't on before I changed the brakes, what went wrong, thanks in advance for any ideas.

I also searched for similiar threads before posting this....

Are you sure it is a brake related?

thx for the response tech, well according to the symbol on the dash its brake related, however with out a scan at the dealer we will never know I guess, its a good coincidence that after I changed the brakes the light was on and never before. Perhaps a bad sensor? Maybe the abs unit is on its way out? Winter snow is almost here, I'll find out soon.

I have never had any problems when changing the pads. Maybe you crushed an ABS sensor when doing the pads?

Also is it off when first starting the car then it comes on after you hit the brakes?
Then the same process next time.

If so then maybe you have a brake light bulb out.

sensors look ok , I checked for that, the light is on when I start the car and remains on, brake lights work fine.
