Default Emergent situation about FPR removal

Sorry, I mean the urgent case, not emergent.

Hello, my 02' S40 has long starting issue, and I'm planning to purchase a new FPR(just internal metal, without black housing), but not yet submit the order.

This morning I removed the vacuum hose from the intake, didn't see any fuel in the hose until I tried to remove internal metal part from the housing. I removed the clip, and shaked the metal part, then a bit fuel flow off(showed in the attached picture).
Based on this point, I guess the long starting is related with the FPR, and my theory is there should be no fuel in the hose at any time, am I right?

At last, the metal part was removed off, but unfortunately, it was broken (showed in the attached picture). I'm not sure it was broken before being removed or during being removed. But it's very fragile, so guess it maybe broken by the removing.

Anyway, now I couldn't install the broken part back to recover the installation as I expected early. When I insert the key(just for the window rise), I saw the fuel come out and drop, I'll never do that again.

Before the new one is delivered to me, the car will stay there (under trees with neighbours' cars together) without FPR. I'm worried about that. What should I do to secure this situation?
And is there any suggestion for the installation of new FPR(just metal part)? and there's some cracks on the vacuum hose's black rubber, could I use glue to fix them? cause I don't know where to buy the hose seperatedly.
Any help will be appreciated much!
