Default Engine Takes A While To Start

Alright so I got rid of my Focus and got a 2000 Volvo S40 and I have to say this car is a beast, it is pretty darn fun to drive but when the engine hasn't run for about half an hour (such as sitting overnight and starting in the morning) I have to hold the key for about 3 seconds while the motor turns over and finally starts. If the car has run within the last 30 minutes it starts up right away in less than a second.

I took it to Volvo and their computers didn't catch anything, they did however replace the spark plugs. I also got all new oil and a new air filter (the car sat on the lot for about a year prior to me getting it) and I had a full tank of gas and put Sea Foam in it but it still seems to have this problem.

Any suggestions?

Hey thanks, ordering the part and gonna put it in as soon as it gets here. It's amazing how one search term can change whether you find something or not. Once again, thanks.

Well, this may be your problem, did you check the hose?

I'd have to look at the diagram to see where the hose is. The only engine I've ever worked on is a Ford Focus.

Yeah, that seems to be the problem. I checked it out and accidentally tore the vacuum tube so I'll have to order a new one but it had gas in it so the part is on the way. Thanks.
