Does it really make that much of a difference? I use mobil 1 extended performance 10w/30.

 

It makes a huge difference! Continue with your Mobil 1. There are other brands of popular synthetic which will serve you well also. From there you go to the truly good 'stuff' such as Red Line. Incidently you will receive no benefit from 'semi-synthetic'.
