Hi everyone, I am having problems getting my HID kit to work on my 2005 S40 2.4i. The kit is 35watts @ 8,000k everything is all wired and set up already. The Hid stays solidly lit for about 10 secs, after that it starts flickering and on my dash it says a message about my low beam bulb is out. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Where did you end up buying your HIDs from? Were you made aware that 2004.5+ S40 require a work-around in order to work correctly?

The reason is that the new bulbs draw less power than the older bulbs and the car thinks the bulbs are out.

Yes the guy at the store told me that I am going to run into problems and it will be a little tricky, but it still could be done. He told me he knows someone who can do it for $150.00. I wanted to save the $150.00 and do it my self. I'm just stuck right now, any suggestions?

Yes I did read it. Where is my computer located in my car? The link you sent me states that the message on my dash will go away, but will the blinking on my head lights go away as well?

 

Not sure I would contact them and see if they can give you more info.
I haven't messed with them I had the link though.
