HID related-I may have made a big mistake!
I have a 2005 s40. I bought an after market KENSUN HID headlight kit and all worked great, very easy install. it came with bulbs, ballast and flicker/canceller.
the other day the windshield wipers came on and would no go off even with the key out of the vehicle. I had to pull the fuse to get them to stop.
After reading up on this I wish I never would have installed those. I put all the original bulbs back in and tossed the kit.
Now the wipers do not come on with the switch and I am afraid I have fried something serious.
Can somebody help me figure out what my next steps are to get the wipers working? And please do not say take it into the dealer. That is the last thing I want to do.
I have heard of these cars using a windshield wiper module? Not sure where that is located.
Also, did I possibly fry the ECM?
Please help!
