I’ve had a 2001 Volvo S40 for about a year now and my Cigarette/power outlet stopped working. I’ve been using a Sirius Satellite radio and occasionally charging my cell phone in a multi-tap power adapter. However for the last few months, I have only been using the satellite radio. Is their a Adapter that you can buy that allows for more inputs for things such as Cell phones, GPS, etc, that wont overload the outlet? Also, where is the fuse box located near the Steering Wheel? I know there is a fuse box under the hood, but I’m looking for the one located near the steering wheel. I looked in the manual, it said it’s located near the steering wheel, yet I cannot find the fuse box. Where is it? Finally is their a bulb that is brighter than the ones standard on the S40? I’m looking for ones that dosent require any installation, but are brighter. Thank You, Grant

 

The inside fuse box is located under the dash by where the door closes. There is a black cover over the fuse box.

Not sure about the adapter.

Which bulbs are you looking to replace?

 

I looking to replace both High and low beam bulbs.
