Default leaking from driver side s40 2004 T5

Hi guys,

Yesterday I was coming home from work when I noticed that my car was overheating, it was not that much but the temp needle was like 2 stripes off the center.

I parked my car and I noticed that it was leaking from under the driver side, just at the side of the front wheel. It is leaking through a bolt, I donīt know if the seal could be off or something else.

Also I wanted to ask, is that part from where is leaking some kind of reservoir for the engine coolant?

I am attaching a pic and hopefully someone can tell me what could be wrong.

It isn't leaking from that bolt, its leaking from above and dripping down. That is the transmission pan, so it can't leak coolant. It is more likely a heater hose at the back of the cylinder head.

You were correct. I took it to a mechanic shop and they told me that it was not leaking from there, but from a hose. They are still identifying from which one and I am just waiting to hear from them with a quote.

Thanks guys!
