Opening door manually without tripping alarm?
I have a 2006 S40 and the remote stopped working and I won’t be able to get a new one until next week. Is there any way I can unlock the door manually without the alarm going off, or is this just a feature of the car? TIA!
Open the car (driver side only) with the key blade , the alarm will be triggered ,but when you insert the remote control into the ignition it will be deactivated , not sure how to deactivate totally , as when you remove the remote from the ignition its reactivated again , perhaps disconnect the siren?
If you dont have to lock it then once opened , unlock all doors , and leave like that perhaps that will deactivate it but have not tried it.

some sites say for some cars you can turn the key to the left instead of the right to bypass the alarm but mine doesn’t have that
had same issue with my 2002. If I lock all doors individually from inside the car, then when want to unlock use key n turn once. Definitely happy finally figured it out
