Hello!
For last weeks I have been struggling with my Volvo. The issue i`am facing at is starting up the engine. It will start up and running for 1-2 sec and then it dies. And when I try again - nothing happens, no hope at all. After standing x times, it will start up again - like there never has any problems (till to the next time). And when its running - it runs properly, smoothly. It starts up from the moment. No loss of power, no gas smell, no strange sound from the engine department, etc. And the computer does not show any new fault either.
I do not know is it relative someway or not, but service light came out together with this problem. Coincidence perhaps!

I'm guessing the Fuel Pressure Regulator. The usual symptoms are long cranking times to get it to start and run. Your symptoms are similar. I would get a fuel pressure tester hooked up to make sure.

It could also be the fuel pump unit although in my experience when it fails it hard fails and the car will never start.

I have been googled and found some tips related to the FPR also, but there are no other symptoms that is common to this like gas leaking/smell, loss of power, engine does not run smoothly (rpm goes up and down).
The gas pump I took it away and tried it with the direct power - it worked.
