I have removed the plastic bezel containing the cigarette lighter assembly and am looking at it at my kitchen table. I've finally separated the plastic light bulb holder from the cigarette lighter assembly and can't remove the light bulb. I can see the glass light bulb inside the black plastic holder but removing it is my problem. Any ideas- Pictures would be Very helpful!

Hello.....been years since you posted your cigarette light bulb inquiry, but maybe you'll get this. I'm trying to do pretty much the same thing. If you see my post titled "2004 S40 cigarette lighter trim ring" you'll see my pix that I assume are pretty much the same scenario you dealt with. Did you ever resolve it? I replaced my gear shifter light and it was a bulb that had to be pulled out. The new one I simply pushed in and it worked great. Maybe the cigarette lighter bulb is the same ordeal, but I just wasn't sure how to access the bulb, even once I was inside the console. If you see my pix maybe it'll make more sense. Any info is appreciated!
