S40 'Ghost' car
Hi all,
I have read a few threads which touch on my problem(s) but non of them quite specific enough. I own a 2004 Volvo 1.9t, it only has 40,000 KM (canadian... so roughly 24,000 miles) It is very well maintained and most of the mileage is highway. Anyway... now for the problem... we had a pretty big snowstorm a couple of days back and the alarm went off. I thought that the high winds might have caused it however it kept happening over the next couple of days or so. Yesterday I got in my car and all the 'warning' lights on my dash lit up and the immobiliser was flashing. I finally got the car started and drove home. I pulled into my driveway and turned the car off... or so I thought... for some reason the engine stayed on but the electronics all shut down. I finally pulled the ECM to stop the vehicle. Now I need to disconnect the main battery to reset the alarm in order to start my car and pull the ECM to stop it... My keyfob stopped working as well so I replaced the battery in my keyfob and my car started working fine again. I finally went home and my problemsall started again. I should also mention that the DSA and the 'Winter mode' lights take turns flashing... My car seems to be in the christmas spirit because the dash is lit up like a christmas tree. Any thoughts on my problem? thanks again for any and all help.

RE: S40 'Ghost' car
Just a little update which may help... I had to boost my car. I was told by a co-worker that his vehicle had done the same thing and that a low battery was to blame. I decided to switch out the battery and now it won't turn over... the lights are all on but it won't turn over... any clues?
