a few weeks ago my 1985 volvo 240dl started acting odd.. fuses where the radio are going out i am buying them like candy.. the over drive light and battery light stay lit at all times when i press the brakes i loose my gas gage, oil gage, my blinkers are no longer working. I have replaced fuses my battery is like 3 months old so what the heck is going on? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: electrical problems (ghost)

Put a voltmeter on the battery, see if it reads the same voltage idling as the output on the back of the alternator.
If the readings are very close then maybe you have a short somewhere, the blown fuses should point the way to which circuit. Could be wire harness.
