Can anyone assist with what this "extra part" is? 2003 S40 US. I took apart the steering lock assembly / lock column to replace the inner cam. When tapping the bottom plate pins back in (with a hammer) I saw this little thing fall out but not sure where. I had the lock in so I'm not sure where else it came from, somewhere near the cable?

I'm told it could be some sorta detent to hold the key in position but can't figure where it came from :/
