tranny leak when parked uphill?

Red face tranny leak when parked uphill?

The car only leaks when parked uphill.. It does not leak when level or parked downhill..Please help. 2007 model 2.4 liter

are you sure its transmission fluid or is it just that fluid is coming out of the weep hole in the bell housing betwen the engine and tranmission? has the leak's location been determined? there's not too many places to leak - axle seals, cooler/lines, main input shaft seal, pan seal, drain bolt. The engine may also be leaking and dripping oil onto the transmission from things like the cam seals or rear main seal. The fact that it leaks when parked uphill suggests that the fluid is leaking onto something and staying there and only falling off when the car 's nose is raised higher than the tail.

mt6127, that was my guess, too (fluid pooling on top of the transmission housing until parked nose-up).
