I went to Best Buy and the techs told me they could install anything I wanted in the car for $50 installation plus a $100 cable to make sure I can still use the volume control on the steering wheel, a $20 casing and another $20 cable.
All that plus the cost of the radio. Can they be right?

Let us know how it turns out...
Seriously, they don't know what they are talking about. The system is modular, interconnected with fiber optics and shares components with the climate control. It has been done but it is a major rework.
You have not gotten a quick response because there is no easy solution. If you have the Premium Sound system, your best bet is the Denson. If not then you could try a modulator that connects directly to your antenna connector. Harman Kardon makes one and a few others. It is not perfect but is a step up from the transmitter.
