Default Volvo S40N -06 Battery drain

Hi everyone!
Just got a new issue with my car!

Battery is draining current.
Drove my car last at thursday or friday with no problem. But now after this weekend (sunday) the car was not starting.. just got click click click sounds.
and interior lights was bearly lightning. couldnt unlock or lock my doors either so i was required to use my metalkey on my remote to unlock/lock driver door manually.

Took out battery for charing in my apartment until tomorrow.

Any ideas whats draining the battery? any typical things?
i may try to measure current at negative battery cable and negative battery terminal or what it calls? and then see how much ampere or milliampere i got. and then remove fuses one after another in the engine apartments fusebox.
the big ones and the small ones... even the two big meltfuses to generator/start motor and for CEM-box

hope my grammar is understandable

do you have sirius satalite radio. if you do try select it or if nothing comes up thats causing the drain. you can take the fuse out for the satalite radio then you have to take it to the dealer for a software upgrade.

Check for blown fuses too. You can get some strange back feed issues with blown fuses. I've not heard of any one item that could cause this though. Let us know what you find?

80A (F2) OK
10A (F53) OK

Took the 80A out and we will see whats happen.
Someone told me that because my EPS is faulty then it might draw current because it checks for signal and stuff.. hard to explain..

Measured with clamp amperemeter with locked doors and read about 0.3A but it was after like 1min.. when i just locked the doors i had a reading of 1.2A

Took out the 80A fuse and it seems that voltage stays at 12.8V when car is unlocked and hood open and car not running.

Maybe the power steering was causing this drain.. will wait some days and see

Check the small interior light in your glove compartment.
If the switch is not working when its closed the bulb stays on and is often the cause of flat batteries.
Make sure the main interior lights also automatically extinguish 30 seconds after the car is locked also.
Check your alternators efficiency with a voltmeter. I recall they are meant to put out about 14.5 volts? to compensate for loads on the battery. (confirm voltage)

Ok, i will check that light in glovebox.. but how?
no other interior lights are on.. not in trunk either.. i have checked allready

Alternator is charging 14.8V when idle
i will see in a couple of days if that fuse did the trick
people have told me that that can be the case because EPS is trying to get signal etc.. and then draw current etc.. blabla.

That alternator voltage sounds good.

With my glove box, by almost closing it but with a very slight gap showing at the top edge i can see the bulb extinguishes. Also you can feel the glovebox body contacting against the little spring loaded plastic contact which is the switch.
They are a very basic , cheap mechanism which obviously accounts for them not working properly at times.
