Hi,
I've a 98 2 litre 240 that ahs being driving perfectly, until today , when nothing worked.
I press the button that says "Unlock" on my keys and nothing happens, so i press it again and again and still no luck.
I then open the door using the key and try starting and nothing happens - total silence, with the clock flashing before and after i try starting.
ANyone got any ideas? Is there a battery in the key mechanism that could be dead?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Since the car would not start, I would look into the battery in the vehicle. Perhaps it needs replaced or some accessory (i.e. lights) was left on and drained the battery.
