Default Yet another AC Compressor thread - 08 S40 1.6 petrol

Hello, I'll start by saying that I'm aware of the other thread on this forum and others (volvospeed, volvoforums, swedespeed, etc).

My AC died a few years ago (at about 120k miles, the car is now over 220k). I live in GB, so I didn't actually care, but we've had a few hot summers lately and I wanted to check it out. I went to a place to test my system, and they said that the compressor is not engaging, probably the clutch. Checked a few forums, found multiple yt videos, and so on.

I decided this morning to take the wheel off and check the spacing with a gauge (to make sure I'm not buying/renting/making the tool for nothing). To my surprise (not really, I'm used to it by know) ... I find a Ford AC Compressor:

From what I found in shops and etc, my compressor is the VS16 160ml oil version.

Does anybody know if the same can be done with this one? Besides the middle bolt (M6 btw), I can't find any other bolts there. Hence, I can't think of any way of using a harmonic balance puller. I tried to "remove" those rubber caps, just in case there are bolts under them, but I can't get the to budge, so I'm guessing that they aren't removable.

Those 3 small protuberances are not bolts btw, they are just solit metal plugs/rivets(?).

This is a photo of a new one btw:

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know I can just get a replacement, a SH one is like £40 and a refurbished SH one £100, a new one less than £200. But I like tinkering with stuff and would rather fix something if it can be fixed instead of replacing it (I wouldn't keep driving my 220k miles car otherwise).

Apparently you don't need any puller for this one. I took the M6 bolt out and it all came apart. There was a single M6 x 11mm washer with a thickness of 1mm. You could probably change it with a slimmer one. I ended up not being able to fix mine, the bearing inside there is shot sadly. I'll replace the whole compressor since idk if anything else broke when that bearing went.

Photo of the clutch out. I couldn't take one of the bearing, I was only able to see it with a flashlight and my phone wasn't able to focus on it properly.
