Default 2001 S60 2.4T front end vibrates on braking over 60 MPH

Let me start by thanking all that contribute to this forum. It has been a resource that has saved me thousands of dollars.
I own a 2001 that I purchased in March 2012. I have put almost 10000 miles on it since I got it. I have a problem that I am at a loss to fix. anytime I try to brake (also called slowing down) at speeds over 60 MPH I get a violent shaking of the front of the car. It stops once the speed drops below 60 MPH. It is so violent that the wheel and the whole front end shakes.
Any ideas? I replaced the passenger side CV joint with one I got from FCP.
I appreciate any suggestions and help.

check your sub frame bushings and buy these (if they are in good shape or not)

IPD Poly Subframe Bushing Insert Kit

Could be warped rotors or bad tires

bad tires would most likely present a problem while cruising and accelerating, bad rotors would be bad at any speed. however related to tires, if they are in fact wearing weird (heavy on one side, feather ect.) it could be a suspension/alignment problem which could also cause the shaking.

on the flip side, is the shaking mostly in the brake, steering wheel, or whole front end of the car?

Whole front end and steering wheel. Goes away once speed drops below 60 or I pushhard on the brake pedal

still sounds like the sub frame bushings or even the lower control arms, they tend to go quickly
