Hello all I have recently purchased a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T automatic. I know, I know the dreaded 01 automatic. Anyways, I really like the car and its 95% perfect 140k miles 2 previous owners. So the issues just started a few days ago and are as follows:
Transmission service required message came on after sitting at a red light with my foot on the brake, the engine surged and it felt like it wanted to go even though I was holding the brake.
After googling and doing tons of reading, I flushed the transmission myself with Mobil 3309. 14 quarts later the trans feels so much better but I'm still getting the surge. Not everytime but most times when I'm at a stop. So my next thought is to clean my ETM and order a Sensa (not sure on spelling) contactless sensor. Any other thoughts ideas or experiences? Getting rid of the car right now is not an option either. lol
