2014. is there an auto shut off feature?
for the third time, I have left my car running for over 1 hour. I know I'm an idiot. But the car is so quiet sometimes I forget to shut it off. I was under the impression that cars without keys after 15 minutes of idle usage will shut off automatically. my car just runs and runs. Is there an option to set so it will shut off after a determined time of non usage? I'm scared I might leave it on overnight or something like that. thank you for the info.
You forgot the keys inside the running vehicle as well? I don't think there is an option to have the a engine timer shut off but the main dealer could possibly help. What is quite sure is Volvo can program to have the doors locked after a while when the key is inside the car.
thanks for the reply.
no, the key was in my pocket - inside the house - car stays running for 2 hours.
that's what i mean. when i go away it does not beep or give a reminder or shut off. my Mazda at least beeps. so any ideas?

That's an interesting issue with the no key start buttons cars. I would ask the dealer about it. There should be a beep or something when you lock the doors with the remote while the engine is still running, because this scenario implies the driver has left the car.
I agree. It is really bizarre. I did call the dealer and spoke to service and they told me there is no future. I asked what if I leave my car in the garage and it runs all night. He said I don't know. My Mazda gives a shut off notification. I'm really surprised because Volvo is a well-thought-out car there has to be some more information on this???
