2015 S60 Intermittent Starting Issues
Hello, wondering if anyone has had issues before with the car intermittently having issues starting.
Troubleshooting based on this article, I think the issue may be a faulty starter, but it doesn't happen consistently enough for me to show a Volvo mechanic yet. This has been happening over the last couple months. It was happening 1-2 times a week, then it stopped for over a month. Today it happened again.
When I try to start, it will sometimes give one-click and then nothing. Jumper cables don't help, so doesn't seem to be the battery. It also doesn't have any signs of corrosion. I also tested the fuse based on this
, and there exists continuity through the fuse.

I have a friend with similar problems on 2015 V60 Platinum. He needs to hold down the start button for extended periods to start. The local Volvo Dealer recommended replacing the starter.
My Volvo's are older, but I offered to help him replace the starter. I came here hoping to find some information on what is required to replace starter. I found this thread, and I'm curious how it turned out?
Thanks!
Lou
